Pair blue ceramic table lamps by Palshus Denmark, stoneware Linnemann-Schmidt
Pair of stoneware table lamps, model DL34 and DL35, produced by Palshus (Denmark).
The lamp bases are finished with a blue glaze and an impressed pattern. The chamotte clay gives a natural and living surface. Both are signed under the base (PLS for Per Linnemann-Schmidt).
Palshus has been founded by Per and his wife Annelise Linnemann-Schmidt. The couple created and produced chamotte (danish clay) objects with impressed decorations (tableware, vases, and lamps).
Their design is timeless, these lamps have a contemporary and graphic side despite being over 50 years old. Colors were characteristic Scandinavian earthy tones: blues, browns, greens and beige.
Many other talented ceramic artists also worked for Palshus including Jens H. Quistgaard and Esben Klint.
The lamps come with new lampshades. They have been re-electrified and work on 110V and 220V. E26/E27 socket. The EU plugs can be replaced by an US version free of charge.
