Cassina LC4 Chaise Longue by Le Corbusier, Pierre Jeanneret & Charlotte Perriand Blue Leather
An iconic LC4 Chaise Longue produced by Cassina, the authorized manufacturer of Le Corbusier's celebrated design originally created in 1928 together with Pierre Jeanneret and Charlotte Perriand.
Widely regarded as one of the most important lounge chairs of the 20th century, the LC4 combines sculptural elegance with exceptional comfort through its instantly recognizable floating tubular steel frame and adjustable reclining position.
This example features its original dark blue Cassina leather mattress and black leather headrest mounted on a black lacquered steel base. The frame bears the Cassina and Le Corbusier markings together with its production number.
The leather has developed an attractive patina over time, showing natural creasing and signs of use consistent with age. Several darker areas resulting from previous touch-ups are visible upon close inspection. The chrome-plated tubular frame remains in good overall condition with normal wear and a localized area of chrome deterioration.
A highly collectible original Cassina production of one of modernism's most enduring furniture designs.
