Charlotte Perriand Les Arcs Dining Table or Desk in Solid Pine and Black Steel, France 1960s

Regular price €3.250

An original Les Arcs dining table designed by Charlotte Perriand, produced in France during the 1960s.

Unlike the more commonly encountered rectangular Les Arcs tables, this example features a less frequently seen black lacquered steel base combined with a beautifully aged solid laminated pine top. Measuring 160 cm long, it comfortably seats six people while its slightly taller height of 73.5 cm also makes it an excellent desk or work table.

The pine has developed a wonderfully warm honey-coloured patina over the decades, highlighting the natural grain and knots that give this model its distinctive character. As often seen on large solid pine tops of this age, the tabletop has developed a very slight longitudinal bow, visible when viewed from the side but not affecting stability or everyday use.

The black steel base retains its original finish with honest signs of age that perfectly complement the industrial aesthetic. One of the six original metal glides is height-adjustable, allowing the table to be precisely levelled on uneven floors.

This versatile table works equally well in a dining room, creative studio or contemporary office, combining Charlotte Perriand's timeless functional design with the rustic elegance that has made the Les Arcs furniture collection so highly sought after.
