Vintage Meribel Dining Chair by Charlotte Perriand, Steph Simon, Paris, 1960s
Dining chair created by Charlotte Perriand for the interior design of the appartements of the 'Méribel' Ski Resort in the French Alps.
The first prototypes of the iconic chair have been imagined during her stay in Japan. The design has been finalised for the chalets of the Méribel Ski resort in the 1950s.
This chair has been produced in the fifties or early sixties by Steph Simon, Paris. The chair is in a very good original condition.
The Ash wooden frames shows a great patina. The legs are connected by an X-spacer under the seat. The woven rush seating is probably original.
