Danish Brutalist Studio Stoneware Vase with Pierced Relief, 1970s

Regular price €200

Exceptional Danish studio stoneware vase from the 1970s featuring a highly sculptural brutalist form with pierced organic relief decoration.

The rectangular body is centered by a cellular openwork motif resembling coral, volcanic stone or architectural honeycomb structures. The vase is finished in a richly textured glaze with earthy sand, beige and grey-blue tones, creating a beautifully weathered and mineral appearance.

Strongly influenced by the experimental Scandinavian studio ceramics movement of the late 1960s and 1970s, the piece reflects the growing dialogue between Nordic craftsmanship, Japanese ceramic traditions and brutalist sculpture.

Unsigned.

A highly decorative collector’s object with strong sculptural presence.

Please note: the neck has been professionally repaired and is structurally stable.
