Early European Eames Lounge Chair (Model 670) with matching Ottoman (Model 671), designed by Charles and Ray Eames and produced in Europe during the 1960s under the Herman Miller Collection / Fehlbaum production.

Herman Miller licensed the Eames designs for European production to the Fehlbaum company, which later became Vitra. This example retains the period Herman Miller Collection – Designer Charles Eames labels on both the chair and ottoman.

The molded plywood shells are finished in rosewood veneer and have been carefully restored and refinished, preserving the rich grain and warm reddish-brown tone. The black leather upholstery is largely original and shows an attractive, supple vintage patina. The seat cushion of the ottoman has been professionally reupholstered in new black leather closely matched to the original leather. The shock mounts have also been renewed.

Condition: Very good vintage condition. Restored rosewood shells with minor age-related traces remaining. Original black leather with natural creasing, patina and light signs of use; one cushion professionally reupholstered in matching black leather. Bases and metal elements show light wear consistent with age. Please refer to the detailed photographs.
