Herman Miller Lounge chair 670 and ottoman 671 in Brazilian Rosewood, design by Ray & Charles Eames. Re-upholstered, new leather !
The production of the Lounge Chair started in 1956 after several years of development. This particular example left Herman Miller's factory in the USA on the 1st of November 1976.
Its wooden parts have been restored and refinished. The original cushions have been re-upholstered in black leather from Switzerland.
The plywood panels come with Brazilian Rosewood veneer (= Rio Palisander). This wood is a protected species now and cannot be exported anymore.
