LC4 Chaise Longue in Cowhide and Black Frame – Cassina, Late 1970s–Early 1980s
Original vintage LC4 chaise longue by Le Corbusier, Pierre Jeanneret and Charlotte Perriand, manufactured by Cassina, Italy, circa late 1970s to early 1980s.
This example combines a black-finished tubular steel reclining frame and base with a richly patterned brown cowhide mattress and a cylindrical black leather headrest.
The mattress has been carefully refurbished with new foam and new leather piping, preserving the natural character of the cowhide. The black-finished base shows an attractive patina and age-related surface wear. Cassina manufacturer markings and the stamped designation LC4 26913 are present.
Condition: Good vintage condition. Refurbished mattress with new foam and leather piping. Black finish patinated with visible signs of age and use, as shown in the photographs.
