Pair of Diamond Chairs by Harry Bertoia for Knoll International – 1970s
Pair of iconic Diamond Chairs (Model 421) designed by Harry Bertoia in 1952 and produced by Knoll International in the 1970s.
This pair features the characteristic black rilsan-coated steel wire structure, a synthetic finish typical of Knoll production from this period. The chairs are fitted with a new high-quality Italian full-cover, upholstered in a refined light brown “café au lait” tone, offering both comfort and elegance.
The sculptural wire construction remains one of the most celebrated achievements of mid-century modern design, combining transparency, lightness and structural strength.
Both chairs are in very good original condition, with no breaks or structural damage. Minor signs of wear are visible under the bases, consistent with age. New glides have been added.
85 x 73 cm / 70cm height
Seat height: 41 cm (front), 34 cm (back).
Price is for the pair.
