Pair of V155 Wall Lamps in Pine by Hans-Agne Jakobsson for AB Markaryd, 1960s
Pair of Model V155 wall lamps designed by Hans-Agne Jakobsson and produced in Sweden by AB Markaryd (AB Ellysett) in the 1960s.
These sculptural wall lights are composed of bent pine veneer strips in a semi-circular form and mounted onto a solid pine frame with a copper back plate. The veneer softly diffuses the light, creating the warm and atmospheric glow characteristic of Jakobsson’s lighting designs.
Hans-Agne Jakobsson is renowned for his refined Scandinavian modern lighting, particularly for his use of natural materials and indirect light diffusion.
This pair is preserved in very good vintage condition, which is increasingly rare for this fragile veneer model. The veneer elements are intact and well preserved.

A beautiful example of 1960s Scandinavian lighting design, combining craftsmanship and warm modernist aesthetics.
