Set of 3 Otto Brauer Cobalt Blue Gulvvase Floor Vases for Holmegaard, Denmark, 1960s
A beautiful graduated set of three Gulvvase floor vases designed by Otto Brauer for Holmegaard during the 1960s.
Brauer's Gulvvase series has become one of the icons of Scandinavian glass design. Hand-blown, characterised by its harmonious cylindrical body, long elegant neck and wide flared rim, the design perfectly balances simplicity with sculptural presence.
This rare set includes three different sizes in the sought-after cobalt blue colour. Displayed together, the varying heights create a striking architectural composition while maintaining the clean, timeless aesthetic for which Danish Modern design is celebrated.
An increasingly difficult set to assemble today, these vases are equally impressive displayed empty as sculptural objects or used with a single branch or flower stem.
A superb addition to any Scandinavian Modern, Mid-Century Modern or contemporary interior.
